                                                   Mountain Man & Lewis and Clark Explorer

A member of Lewis and Clark’s expedition, who traveled through what is now North Dakota, later became a famous mountain man, is believed by many to have been the first white man to see the geysers and hot springs of Yellowstone Park, is the first known white man to have entered the boundaries of the present state of Wyoming, and was a hunting partner with Daniel Boone.
