THOMAS CAMPBELL (1882-1966)
Owner of World’s Largest Privately Owned Wheat Farm

The owner of the world’s largest privately owned wheat farm was born and raised in North Dakota. Thomas D. Campbell Jr. obtained 95,000 acres in Montana and Wyoming and 512,000 acres in New Mexico. During World War II, he also invented the “fire bomb” using petroleum jelly.
